Yale Leadership Development Program in Behavioral Health: December 18 Application Deadline

The Connecticut Workforce Collaborative on Behavioral Health and the Yale Group on Workforce Development announce a year-long intensive educational program to enhance leadership skills of eighteen managers in Connecticut’s behavioral health system of care.

Eligible applicants include managers in community provider organizations and state employees in a Managerial class in the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Department of Children and Families, and Court Support Services Division of the Judicial Branch. The program is targeted to managers with significant programmatic or supervisory responsibility or who manage provider organization contracts.

Including both didactic and experiential learning, the program will begin with a two and a half day workshop in February 2010, followed by monthly half-day seminars in New Haven from March through December. The program is supported by the Connecticut Mental Health Transformation State Incentive Grant at no cost to participants.

Program instructor David Berg, Ph.D. is a former professor and head of graduate studies at the Yale School of Organization and Management and a nationally and internationally known teacher and trainer on leadership development.
